This lovely volume captures the power of reading, all without a single word. 54 (all published) black and white photographs. Original photo-illustrated wrappers (spine ends and back strip repaired). Celebrating and acknowledging all styles and aspects of photography, each volume focuses on the life's work of an individual master and contains an informative introductory essay, a detailed chronology and 55 tappable-and-enlargeable key works accompanied by extended captions. I especially liked the photos that included bookshelves full of books, and my favorites were of people reading in some special, tucked-away place.
