Am now reading her 2nd book on Jewels. Not the most organized book ever - it's clear Finlay was more interested in sharing amusing anecdotes than giving a comprehensive history of colors. Not to mention, they weren’t always time appropriate and she’d often briefly mention other colours that were actually from a completely different timeframe. Going to come back to it.
